Ongoing upgrades and renovations continue at NRG stadium, located in the 4th largest city in the US. The stadium venue has hosted Super Bowls, major sporting events, world-class concerts and is home to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. In 2021, Fish Construction participated in upgrades to a variety of concession projects, further expanding and improving food and beverage services for visitors.
On the prestigious Club Level of the stadium, FCI has replaced all the in-line bar areas on this entire level with upgraded materials. Solid Surface finishes and more durable metals replaced original wood and tile counters.
New self-serve convenience kiosks have been added to help alleviate wait times at concession areas, providing guests the option of skipping the lines to buy packaged food, drink, and other sundries. FCI provided cabinetry, trim, and cladding of customized distressed hardwood at these kiosks.
Existing concession areas have also been repurposed into better food and beverage services for a wider variety of meal options and faster service. FCI completed the material finishes for these spaces with stainless steel countertops and powder-coated metal trim in the Texans football team’s custom Deep Steel Blue color.
