McCarran International Airport
International Gate Expansion

Tourism is the heart of Las Vegas and its International Airport is the welcoming center for guests coming to enjoy the Entertainment Capital of the World. In 2018, to encourage tourism from Asia and Europe, the International Gate Expansion project aimed to make it easier by increasing their D Gates from 7 to 14, and also able to accommodate wide-body aircraft arriving from international destinations.

FCI manufactured the new space-efficient gate counters to replace the existing larger counters. Outdated bulky electronic equipment was upgraded with new, compact technology, helping to reduce the required footprint. The slimmed-down design offered clean, contemporary lines and made room for additional seating and passenger space at the gates. The counters were fabricated using metal finishes with a cool waterfall design in tones of gray and blue, and white quartz countertops. The new counter design will be used in future airport renovations and expansions.

Departing passengers can now use the new self-boarding system at the gates, a new flight information display system, and charging stations for multimedia devices.
