Terminal Improvement Project
As the largest airport in New Mexico, the Albuquerque Sunport was overdue for renovations. FCI was selected as part of the team to modernize the interior of this facility, starting with a total renovation of the ticketing lobby and landside areas of the airport. Drawing inspiration from regional artwork, FCI’s 45 check-in counters were fashioned in Southwestern design and incorporated stone front panels sculpted with New Mexican artwork by local artists. Other millwork included skycap counters and Baggage Claim area welcome desk, also clad in Southwestern-themed artwork. Color palette selections were chosen in sandy hues and intense blues inspired by local desert landscapes and iconic blue skies of this state nicknamed the Land of Enchantment.
