NRG Stadium
Houston, Texas

NRG Stadium is home of the Houston Texans football team and host of the 51st Super Bowl in 2017. To prepare for the Super Bowl and other major sports and entertainment events, NRG rolled out a massive upgrade program throughout the venue. FCI fabricated and installed millwork for several levels of the stadium, including renovations of over 180 VIP luxury suites and the exclusive Club Level, where premium seat members have access to upscale food and beverage amenities.

The work in the VIP suites included replacing all furnishings, food and beverage countertop surfaces, doors, tabletops, and other casework. The new suites were ready by summer of 2016 in time for the Copa America Centenario, the first time the USA has hosted this international event.

The Club Level is a major hot spot for premium seat members. FCI was responsible for furnishing new bars and dining areas, condiment areas, and other furnishings. Bars were remodeled with stone, tile and metal. Over 60 condiment carts, situated throughout the stadium, were fabricated using stainless steel and solid surface. Outfitted with heavy-duty casters, they offer mobility and flexibility to be used anywhere in the stadium as needed.

FCI also replaced many of the concession areas on the Main Concourse with customized woodwork in a variety of rustic themes, including distressed wood, barnyard or reclaimed wood appearances. Several walls include a customized mosaic created by FCI utilizing plastic laminate in triangular shapes of random shades to produce an indoteak design. Other areas included walls of custom stained panels trimmed in maple. The client requested a more rustic look for other concession areas where FCI fabricated panels utilizing bull barn oak laminate, or incorporated specific color schemes.
